ibn Yahia, Jacob Tarn

(d. 1542)

   Portuguese scholar and physician, son of David ben Solomon ibn Yahia. He served as a rabbi and as court physician in Constantinople. He was the author of numerous responsa and completed Tehillah le-David, a study of the principles of Judaism begun by his father.
